THE IBRAHIM MEMORIAL AWARD
An award was instituted by the IAS a few years ago in the name of the late Prof. Mohammed Ibrahim. The late professor was a Founding Fellow and Council Member of the IAS. It was created in recognition of the sizeable contribution the late professor had made to medical sciences, in Bangladesh and internationally.
Every 2 years, the Secretariat invites all IAS Fellows as well as regional and international bodies to nominate candidates for the Award, and announces the Award in the IAS Newsletter and on the Academy’s web page. Several nominations are normally received by the Secretariat.
Biannually, the IAS circulates the CVs of the nominees received to IAS Council Members so that an awardee is chosen based on merit and distinction.
